Who we are
Graduate Opportunities ("we") runs this website. Contact: omihossainmail@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and name. If you use Google, we receive only your name and email.
- Profile (optional): year of study, graduation year, subject group, grades and whether you need visa sponsorship. Used to check eligibility and match opportunities.
- Your tracker: what you save and apply for, your notes and checklists. Only you can see these; our team cannot.
- Student verification (optional): we email a code to your university address, then keep only the university, the date and a scrambled (hashed) copy of the address so it can't verify another account. The address itself is deleted.
- Correction reports: your message, and your email if you add it.
Before you sign up, saved items and eligibility answers stay in your browser on your device and are not sent to us.
Why we use it (lawful basis)
To provide the service you asked for (contract), to keep it secure and improve it (legitimate interests), and to send alerts you switch on (consent). Marketing emails are off unless you opt in, and you can turn any email off with one click.
Who we share it with
Our hosting provider and email delivery provider process data for us. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with employers.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies: one keeps you signed in, one protects forms, and one tells pages you're signed in. No advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. Deleting starts a 14-day grace period (signing in cancels it), after which your personal data is removed. Security logs are kept for 14 days.
Your rights
You can download or delete your data from Settings, and you can ask us to access, correct or restrict it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Age
This service is for people aged 18 or over.
